Celebratory Evening of Champagne & Canapes - 7th November 2014
Ebury Court was delighted to welcome local MP, Andrew Rosindell, to celebrate our GSF reaccreditation at the highest level of Beacon. The event was attended by relatives, staff and residents and was a happy and wonderful occasion. Andrew gave the following speech:
"Thank you very much for inviting me to join you for tonight's celebration and let me start by saying a huge contratulations to everyone here at Ebury Court for this fantastic achievement. There are so many patients and families in Romford who rely on Ebury Court to provide the best quality end of life care which they possibly can and this reaccreditation shows that the staff here are working tirelessly to ensure that this trust is not misplaced. The Gold Standard Framework End of Life Care Accreditation is an incredibly prestigious national award and Ebury Court should be incredibly proud that they have not only been able to reach such a high level of care but that they have indeed improved on the excellence which they exhibited when they were first accredited in 2011. To achieve excellence in the overwhelming majority of the standards set out in this framework is amazing, unprecedented even, especially considering the rigorous inspection process and evidence which is required and we should be incredibly grateful that we have such a fantastic care home here in Romford. This excellence which Ebury Court exhibits is a testament to the hardwork and dedication which all members of staff here put in. The carers, of course, as well as all the healthcare professionals and GPs which Ebury Court work so closely with. We must not overlook either the contribution of the ancilliary staff, housekeepers, kitchen staff, administrators, management - right up to director level. The achievement of this accreditation would not have been possible without each and every one of the staff here and we must make sure we celebrate all their contributions equally. I would like to invite all the members of staff here at Ebury Court to come up and shake my hand so that I can thank them for the great job they are doing for the people of Romford. Once again, congratulations."
The evening concluded with a magnificent firework display in the gardens at Ebury Court.
